What next

Lesson from the WasmPascal in-browser Learn Pascal tutorial. Source: webpascal/index.html.

You now know enough to read every example in the Examples… dropdown. Good next moves:

  • hello_write.pas β€” string / integer / float output.
  • guess.pas β€” a number-guessing game using readln, loops, and an RNG.
  • fibonacci.pas β€” recursion + a loop.
  • shapes.pas β€” ASCII art via write/writeln.
  • gotoxy.pas, colors.pas β€” cursor placement and TextColor.
  • math.pas β€” every math builtin.
  • with_demo.pas, set_demo.pas, case_ranges_demo.pas β€” the with statement, set operators, and range arms.
  • ternary.pas β€” Delphi-13-style if cond then a else b expressions.
  • var_params_demo.pas β€” var parameters by address: Swap on locals, plus var string/record/array params and @ on a local.
  • objects_demo.pas, classes_demo.pas, typed_const_demo.pas β€” objects (value-type, virtual, inheritance, New), classes (reference-type, polymorphism, two-level), and typed const aggregates + Char in string ops (new in 0.5.0).
  • web_dom.pas β€” the DOM from Pascal with uses WEB: a styled panel, an animating canvas and pointer handlers, with none of the bridge boilerplate.
  • basic_canvas.pas β€” the pixel-buffer canvas ABI.
  • pascalsweep and pascaloids.pas β€” full games on the pascaldom / batchiness ABIs.

And remember: the fastest way to learn anything here is to take a working program, load it into the editor, press Run, then break it and watch the compiler's error messages point you at the offending line.
